This afternoon is just like many other days, ordinary days as I study in Fisher Library level 5, at the University of Sydney. Yes, I study at University of Sydney, a place that people called, one of the best university in Australia. Hey, it's the best university in Sydney area, people say.
Now do you remember who you are, rif? (Yes, sorry I am having conversation with myself right now). You were a student of a small university in Semarang, Indonesia. I came from a small town, a third world village if you'd like to name it and also a graduate of a small not-popular university or just another private institution in a developing country. Yet do you remember rif, you can pass all those obstacles to get here, to study here, give yourself a chance to taste a study abroad, just like what you always wanted to do since junior high!
Wake up! It's a dream come true, do you remember. It's the thing everyone back there in Indonesia are craving for, are struggling for. Yet you already have it. Be thankful, Arif. Be grateful for what Allah swt has given you.
And do you believe it? You can manage to study at Sydney uni. You are good, just as many other student from famous world universities. This is USyd, and it is the world's champion for debate competition.
The point of this writing is just to point out. You are good enough. You are amazing. You are marvelous. So be confident. Believe that you can.
