Lawe

This exotic journey started when I step my foot down a single one-handled staircases on the hillside of Ungaran mountain, looking at the endless greenery. I was astonished by the hypnotizing view of a vast tropical mountainous rain forest, a typical of Indonesian biome. As I move my leg down stair by stair, my heart was trembling looking at seemingly endless down the cliff like i was about to fall.

At the end of this concrete staircase, I found myself standing on a side of a one-meter gut. An irrigation canal filled with water as clear as crystal, fresh and clean, flowing down the mountain heading to clove plantations behind this pathway. Our paces ahead are of one side of a canal. A strapping cliff stands and rises high on our right, blanketed of bushes and roots of wood binds. On the left side, a deep tens of meters of dark ravine. On this narrow piece of land, we will walk ahead to something we couldn't see, we couldn't predict.

I stopped for a moment to savor the breath-taking view of this narrow and winding gorge. All I can see is greenery, carpeted like a green woven tapestry over a rugged terrain. This is just a little vial of God's ocean of natural wonder. I thank Him for having a chance to be alive and experience this feeling. That I'm just a tiny creature standing on a side of a huge mountain. My leg was shaking and I was terrified of thoughts that this cliff might just slide and bury me dead undiscovered. If I got through this little journey alive, God must have love me.

I continue, walking along this snaking pathway on the mountain side. Feeling astonished of this amazing scenery. As i walk by, i can hear the sound of water rushing on the cascades. Freshness of mountainous rainforest flick tenderly the back of my neck, and chirping birds are flying joyfully along the way. This ambience just can't stop hypnotizing me. Here, feeling small as ant on the slope of a sand mound, yet bewitched by the fascinating scene.

The further I walk, the narrower and shallower the valley become. At the edge of the valley, Sidomble dam has been waiting just outside the forest. There is a small pond behind this dam, filled with clear water that i can even see its bed. I just can't help not to jump into that transparent water in the pond, but I'll just hold it and be patient so that I can enjoy cooler breeze of falling water and mist under the waterfall. Ahead of this dam, I can see thicker dark forest, like a mouth of a monster ready to swallow me. (contd)....

I feel like standing at the gate of paradise. There, standing strong in front of me, layers of falling waters from 150 metres above the ground. Like a syphon hanging down, curtain made of water, waving and caressing the stone behind it. This beaut stranded on a horseshoe cliff, letting sunshines to take a peek from narrow space above the waterfall. Looks like angel's pathway walking toward the water. On the stonewall, drops of water falling, creating
