So I guess this would be the way I practice my English for
the sake of IELTS test, 3 weeks ahead. I’m going to have it by January 30th
2016 and I still have several weeks to prepare. To be frank, I’m not sure if it’s
sufficient to improve my IELTS score but I’m pretty sure I can get reach my
goal: IELTS 7.0.
I’m having my dinner right now while writing this. I’m
chewing while typing words after words to this blank white page in Ms. Word. Life
is a never ending struggle. Just like what I’m having right now, eating kerupuk
while trying to arrange sentences. Well, to be honest I can’t say I’ve been
working very hard, because this is just my first day of intensive IELTS study
session, by myself. But afterall, I’m gonna make these weeks a real struggle.
I’m blabbing. But I actually am talkative.
Having my headache since earlier today. I just got back from
Semarang yesterday, and I slept not quite early but woke up very early. Well
not as early as usual, coz I usually wake up at 3 am, and yesterday I woke up
at 4, so it’s quite late for me. But still, may lack of splendid sleep is the
reason why I have my dizzy head right now. Other than that, probably because I
had intensive listening session for several hours on earphones, that my hearing
got exposed to direct (though not so loud) source of sound. I decided to study
at the public library, but when I arrived and sat for only 5 minutes, my sleepy
head stumbled. It felt like I had tons of wrecking ball (do I sound like
miley?) tightly bounded to every strand of my hair and ripping my brain apart.
After several hours of study, I’m blasted by the fact that I
should more for reading section. I specifically have difficulties in
understanding reading passage, especially with various types of questions.
Besides that, there so many words to read, so many articles to understand. They
have tips on the IELTS practice book, so I think I’m going to use that as a
guide.
I had my study for 2 hours, I went home right after dzuhur
and lunch, I had my nap for 40 minutes or so. It didn’t really work well to
recharge my energy, I still have this headache until now.
The reason why I’m willing to study even more for IELTS is
that I’m absolutely definitely tempted to continue my study (master’s degre) in
the University of Sydney, and they require applicants to have IELTS 7.0. What a
challenge. I myself took a simulation several months ago. The result is quite
encouraging but I can’t say I’m pretty happy about that. I still feel like I need
further and more intensive, excruciating study so that I can have my IELTS 7.0.
No matter how hard I have to study, I will take that challenge and study even
harder. And this writing, is just a little piece of writing section. LoL. =D
Oh, perhaps it’s also because I face my laptop for too long.
You know, screen radiation from computer has a real bad impact on our sight,
our eyes. I feel more sleepy, I can hardly pull my eyelids open sometimes,
lingering to my bed like a lazy sloth. It feels like burning a little bit, and
eyesore is definitely unavoidable. No matter what risks I might have, I should
still face my laptop every day. This is the easiest way to keep being updated
to information about scholarship I just obtained, through telegram and line
(both instant messenger). Many informations are available there, and I don’t
have any compatible smart phone so laptop is the only answer for now.
Okay, now it’s isya time and after that I gotta hit my bed.
Hoping that tomorrow I’ll get better so that I can have my intensive study
program going well.
